Andy Murray will take on Stan Wawrinka in what could potentially be his final appearance at the French Open.
The draw for the first round of the competition was completed on Thursday. Murray, 37, will take on the Swiss at Roland Garros.
It is the first time Murray has played at the tournament since 2017 having overcome an ankle injury. It also signifies the 22nd time that the pair have faced off on the ATP tour.
Murray currently holds the better record between the two having won 13 of those meetings. He claimed victory in the most recent of those in the 2022 ATP Masters in Cincinnati.
Wawrinka and Murray have faced off at Roland Garros on three occasions in the past. Should Murray win, he could come up against fellow Brit Cameron Norrie in the second round- who opens his campaign against Pavel Kotov.
Elsewhere, Rafael Nadal could also be set to play his final match at the French Open. He has been drawn to face German fourth seed and Italian Open winner Alexander Zverev. Novak Djokovic will begin the defence of his men’s singles title versus Frenchman Pierre-Hugues Herbert.
The French Open gets underway on May 26 and will run all the way to June 9. The tournament could represent the final chance for a number of stars to appear.

Spanish icon Nadal has already hinted that he is getting close to hanging up his racket. Murray has also suggested that he is getting ready to wind down sooner rather than later.
“I get asked about it after every single match that I play, every single tournament that I play,” Murray said earlier this year. “I’m bored of the question, to be honest.
“I’m not going to talk more about that between now and whenever the time comes for me to stop. But I don’t plan on playing much past this summer.”
He added: “There’s no right way of finishing your career and everyone is different so what might be the right way for Federer might not be the right way for [Rafael] Nadal, might not be the right way for [Novak] Djokovic.”
Meanwhile, in the women’s draw of the French Open, British number one Katie Boulter will take on Paula Badosa. Iga Swiatek will begin her bid for a third title in a row against a qualifier or a lucky loser.
