Daniil Medvedev and his wife Daria recently enjoyed a delightful few days in Marrakech, Morocco, celebrating their friend’s birthday. The duo showed off their impeccable fashion flair with chic and glamorous outfits for the festivities.
Medvedev has made a winning start to his grasscourt season, beating Nuno Borges 7-6(4), 6-4 in his opening match at the ATP 500 event in Halle. The Russian made a return to the tour after taking a well-deserved break following his fourth-round exit at the French Open.
During his time off, Daniil Medvedev and his wife joined their friend Kristina for her birthday celebrations in Marrakech. The 28-year-old recently took to social media and shared a glimpse of their experience, showing off his and Daria’s stylish outfits for their “amazing days” in Morocco.
The World No. 5 opted for smart business casual ensembles in neutral tones for the occasion, while his wife Daria stole the spotlight in chic animal print dresses for the festivities and a stunning silver gown as they posed against the backdrop of sand dunes.
“Happy birthday dear Kristina. Thanks for inviting us and sharing these amazing days with your family and closest friends ❤️,” Daniil Medvedev captioned his Instagram post.
On the tennis front, Daniil Medvedev will continue his campaign in Halle against Zhang Zhizhen in the second round. If the World No. 5 triumphs over Zhang, he will take on the winner of the match between Alexander Bublik and Christopher Eubanks.

Although Daniil Medvedev managed to enjoy some time off with his family before the grasscourt season, he often has to spend considerable time away from his wife Daria and baby daughter Alisa due to the demands of his career as a professional tennis player.
In an interview with the Tennis Channel during his French Open campaign, Medvedev admitted that he hasn’t had the opportunity to learn much from Alisa because of the prolonged periods he spends away from her.
“Let’s be honest, when you’re a tennis player, you can talk as much as you want about kids, you don’t see them that often. You travel around the world so it’s more my wife that tries to teach her things and maybe our daughter teaches her patience,” he said.
The Russian acknowledged that his absence affects his daughter, as she tends to hide her true character when he is around. He also humorously revealed that he jokes around with his wife Daria about how Alisa only screams in front of her and remains calm for him.
“Me, I’m there less than my wife so I think my daughter feels it. So, with me she is, when we’re together, she’s not having too much of a character, she’s just going by the flow,” Daniil Medvedev said.
“And I like to make jokes with my wife, ‘You told me she was screaming earlier but she’s fine.’ It is what it is. I try to spend as much time as possible with her and it’s a fun time,” he added.
