Their love story seems to be going swimmingly, as evidenced by the photos of their vacation together in the crystal-clear sea of Sardinia (Italy), but as far as the court is concerned, Jannik Sinner and Anna Kalinskaya are going through a negative moment. It all started a few weeks ago when both the Italian tennis player and his Russian girlfriend said goodbye to Wimbledon due to physical problems.
Jannik, who suffered a slight fainting spell during the match against Daniil Medvedev, then lost the challenge against the Russian. Kalinskaya instead suffered a problem with her wrist. After a short vacation on the Costa Smeralda, Jannik should have participated in the Paris Olympics, but tonsillitis prevented him.
Kalinskaya was supposed to participate in the WTA in Washington, but her withdrawal has been reported in the last few hours.
“I’m sorry to miss the tournament this year. Unfortunately, I haven’t recovered from my injury yet and I hope to see you all again soon,” said Anna on her social media accounts.

The 25-year-old is struggling with some physical problems and has therefore decided to take some more time to recover.
Having overcome the Olympic disappointment and the problems related to tonsillitis, Sinner will return to training on hard courts.
The season is still very long and he still has many commitments on the horizon. In the second part of the season there will be several tournaments in which he will have to defend several points up for grabs, first of all the Canada Open, which last season represented a very important crossroads for him. It was the first of 7 tournaments won in less than a calendar year. Then Montreal (last year it was played in Toronto), Cincinnati and then the US Open. These are the next imminent commitments in which Sinner will try to get back on the winning streak.
