Aryna Sabalenka celebrated her boyfriend Georgios Frangulis’ birthday following her victory at the 2024 US Open. The Belarusian tennis player has been in a relationship with Frangulis since April 2024.

Sabalenka recently hogged the spotlight at the US Open where she won the women’s singles title by defeating home favorite Jessica Pegula 7-5, 7-5. On her way to the final, she had also overcome the likes of another local favorite Emma Navarro in the semifinals and China’s Zheng Qinwen in the quarterfinals.

On the occasion of her boyfriend’s birthday, the 26-year-old took to her Instagram to wish Frangulis on his special day and shared multiple adorable photos of the couple. She wished him with the caption, stating:

“Happy birthday meu amor, I’m so lucky to have you by my side. Your support is priceless 🦖🐒❤️💜❤️”

Frangulis was also in attendance at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center to cheer for the tennis superstar as she collected her third singles Grand Slam title. She has previously won the 2024 and 2023 Australian Open.

Following Aryna Sabalenka’s sensational victory, Frangulis uploaded a post dedicated to her girlfriend on his Instagram handle, addressing her as the ‘Queen’ of New York. He wrote:

“Im in love with the Queen of NY 🗽 🏆 🐯”

It is worth noting that Georgios Frangulis is a Brazilian businessman who pursued law at FAAP Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado (FAAP), one of the most reputed institutions in Brazil. He founded Oakberry in December 2016, the brand which produces açaí products.

Georgios Frangulis has been a huge support system in Aryna Sabalenka’s life

In an interview with PEOPLE magazine recently, as part of her collaboration with Dobel Tequila, Aryna Sabalenka opened up about how supportive Georgios Frangulis has been towards her. She said during the conversation:

“There was a really tough period where I was really happy to have him by my side, always cheering me up, always making sure that we are doing some fun stuff.”

She added:

“But I make sure I kind of forget about tennis and focus on the good things and enjoy my life. Even when things are going wrong in my career. So yeah, he was my biggest support and yeah, really happy to have him by my side.”

Sabalenka faced a challenging year both professionally and personally. It was marred by injuries and sickness which led to her opting out of the 2024 Wimbledon and exiting the 2024 French Open in the quarter-finals due to a stomach bug.

In March this year, Konstantin Koltsov, whom she previously dated, passed away allegedly by suicide, according to the the Miami-Dade Police Department. However, the tennis star and two-time Winter Olympian Koltsov were no longer together when he died, which was later confirmed by Aryna Sabalenka through an Instagram story.
