Gold and successful women is the theme for today’s action in Paris. China’s athletes were in the finals of the tennis, badminton and table tennis, and at least two titles were guaranteed.
Zheng Qinwen was chasing glory in the women’s singles on the clay courts of Roland Garros, Chen Meng battled compatriot Sun Yingsha for the women’s singles table tennis crown, and it was an all-China final in the badminton women’s doubles as well.
Hong Kong’s women were also in the spotlight, with Siobhan Haughey and other members of the swimming team racing in 4×100 medley relay.
