Aryna Sabalenka landed in Switzerland with her boyfriend Georgios Frangulis for a vacation after her successful 2024 US Open campaign. The Belarusian player lifted her third Grand Slam trophy in Flushing Meadows, defeating her US counterpart Jessica Pegula in straight sets 7-5, 7-5.

 

Sabalenka soared past all her rivals in the US Open, losing in just one set in seven matches and trouncing Pegula for her second Grand Slam win of the year. Shortly after her successful Flushing Meadows campaign, the three-time major singles’ titlist set off on a vacation in Switzerland.

 

In her Instagram story, she shared the view of a room, looking over a grassy landscape. The space, which appeared to be a living room, featured a beige sofa, unique lights on the ceiling, a small tea table, and a chair.

She posted a video of a rainy street in her following Instagram story, captioned:

 

“September” with a laughing emoji in a sarcastic tone.

It was evident that her boyfriend, the Brazilian businessman Georgios Frangulis also accompanied her on the trip, as she tagged him the story.

 

The two started dating towards the end of April 2024 and Frangulis has since been a fixture at Sabalenka’s matches, with the most recent being at the US Open.

 

Sabalenka has had a couple of strong matches in 2024, starting with her win against Chinese player Qinwen Zhang at the Australian Open. She followed up her win with two second-place finishes against Pole Iga Swiatek at the Madrid Open and Italian Open. The 26-year-old was back in form at the Cincinnati Masters and defeated World No. 3 Jessica Pegula 6-3, 7-5 in the final.

The founder of Oakberry, Georgios Frangulis, celebrated his birthday on September 9, a day after Aryna Sabalenka’s victory in New York. His girlfriend shared a carousel of photos on her Instagram, featuring a beach, car, lift, a dinner date, an airport snap and a couple of New York Fashion Week photos.

 

She posted a video at the end, featuring Frangulis helping his girlfriend take off her heels. Aryna Sabalenka penned a heartfelt note in her caption and hailed his support as ‘priceless.’

 

“Happy birthday meu amor, I’m so lucky to have you by my side. Your support is priceless,” Sabalenka captioned the post.

 

After his girlfriend’s US Open achievement, the Brazilian businessman took to his Instagram to show his love for Sabalenka.

The Belarusian had previously won two major doubles titles at the 2019 US Open and 2021 Australian Open.
