Mohamed Salah of Liverpool looks on as Arne Slot, Manager of Liverpool, is seen during a Liverpool Training Session at AXA Training Centre on December, 2025 in Kirkby, England.
Mohamed Salah held positive talks with Arne Slot on Friday and will return to the Liverpool squad for the game against Brighton & Hove Albion
Mohamed Salah is set to return to the Liverpool squad that takes on Brighton & Hove Albion at Anfield tomorrow (Saturday). It comes after talks were held with head coach Arne Slot today (Friday).
Salah has started the last three Premier League fixtures on the bench for the Reds and was left out of the travelling party entirely on Monday when the club flew to Milan for the Champions League clash with Inter after an incendiary post-match interview where he claimed he had been “thrown under the bus” and cited a breakdown in his relationship with Slot.
The decision was taken, with the full support of the Liverpool boss, to leave Salah on Merseyside as a result of his bombshell interview he held following the 3-3 draw with Leeds United, where the Egyptian was an unused substitute.

And after positive discussions were held, Salah is now ready to return to the fold.

The return of Salah will go a long way toward calming a situation that looked in disarray over the past week.
And with Cody Gakpo sidelined with a muscle issue, Federico Chiesa only recently back from illness and Alexander Isak an injury doubt, Salah may even start the game against Fabian Hurzeler’s side.
Slot said earlier today: “I will have a conversation with him this morning and the outcome of that conversation will determine how it looks tomorrow.
“What I need is a conversation with him and the next time I speak about Mo should be with him and not in here. There’s not much more I can say. I speak to him today and the outcome determines how things will look tomorrow.
“You can try (the question) in multiple ways but I just said the next time I speak about him should be with him. I think there’s been a lot of conversations since the last week between his rep
