Teenage sensation Mirra Andreeva defeated the world number one Aryna Sabalenka by 2-6, 6-4, 6-3 in the Indian Wells 2025 final and won the title. The 17-year-old is on the verge of making it to the new WTA sixth rank after her magnificent performance over the Belarusian star in the final showdown.
Surprisingly, the Russian didn’t have a great start to the game after Sabalenka took a 4-1 lead against her and later won the opening set. However, the 17-year-old star player staged her magnificent comeback in the second set, gained an advantage over Sabalenka’s unforced errors, and leveled up the game. The star player continued her domination, executing backhand and forehand volleys that disrupted the world number one’s momentum in the third and final set.
