– Nothing to do. Anna Kalinskaya’s dream of celebrating her fourth double-double title WTAvanished again. The Russian, paired with Caty McNally, was eliminated in the quarterfinals at Indian Wells by the duo formed by Olivia Nicholls and Tereza Mihalikova.

Match was very hard fought and decided by details. In the first set, the Kalinskaya-McNally pair surrendered on a score of 6–4. Part second in the sign of balance. Strong set at the tie-break where the opponents did not miss practically anything, imposing themselves 7-1.

In the semi-finals, Olivia Nicholls and Tereza Mihalikova go in the semi-finals. They will play the access to the final against the pair Zhang-Hsieh. Anna Kalinskaya is already forced to look ahead. So much regret for the elimination but there is also satisfaction for having reached at least the quarterfinals in the doubles. To date, the Russian tennis player has won only three out of eight matches played in a singles match.

The 26-year-old Russian is struggling a lot in this first phase of the season, especially in the singular. A quarter-final, even if in the doubles, is a result that could bring her morale in view of the next rounds in the circuit. The goal is always the same: to try to win a title in singles and, given the results, do well even in the doubles, maybe still together with Caty McNally.
