Murray has undergone new surgery to resolve a back problem following his withdrawal from the prestigious Queen’s Club Championships in recent days. The 3-time Slam champion has decided to once again resort to surgery; an operation aimed at the miraculous participation in Wimbledon, which will begin in just over a week.

“He saw a specialist yesterday afternoon and is trying to decide what his next step will be. I don’t think it’s right for me to weigh in on what to do, that’s up to him, but I think he has to make decisions. Obviously it’s very disappointing for him that this “It’s his last time at Queen’s, his last Wimbledon and his last Olympics, and there’s a possibility that it won’t be. I think he has to make some decisions and see how it ends,” explained Jamie, preferring not to say too much.
Murray was supposed to play singles and doubles with his brother Jamie at Wimbledon, then move his attention to the Paris Olympics. The Scot had clearly outlined in his mind what the last tournaments of his career would be. Wimbledon, and then conclude with the Olympic Games. We remember that Andy Murray wrote history by winning Olympic gold for two consecutive editions of the Games, London 2012 and Rio de Janeiro 2016. A feat never achieved by anyone else in the history of the men’s tennis tournament.
