Liverpool are reportedly growing concerned about Milos Kerkez’s performances this season, with his inconsistent displays raising questions about his long-term place in the team
.The 22-year-old Hungarian has started 10 matches across all competitions, but his performances have frustrated some supporters.
Despite the concerns, manager Andoni Iraola remains a strong admirer of Kerkez, having previously worked with him at Bournemouth.
Liverpool are not considering selling him or dropping him permanently, as the coaching staff believe he can rediscover his best form under Iraola.
However, his struggles have increased discussions about strengthening Liverpool’s defence, particularly at left-back, centre-back and right-back.
The Reds are already exploring defensive options ahead of next summer, with Borussia Dortmund’s Nico Schlotterbeck, Inter Milan’s Alessandro Bastoni, Barcelona’s Jules Koundé and Nottingham Forest’s Murillo reportedly among their centre-back targets.
